HULL LIFE

component 2_edited.png

The Hull Life represents the health amount of a tank.

Depending on the zone of impact (front, side, and rear) the Hull Life  decrease from complete (white) to noting (red).

TURRET

component 2_edited.jpg

The second most crucial component of the tank after the Hull Life is the Turret.

This component is responsible for firing the main gun and the machine gun. Turrets will go red after one or two A.P. hit from the enemy armor.

When the turret is red, you will lose your ability to fire the machine gun and your turret traverse speed will dircrease.

TRACKS

The tracks component in the game represents the movement of the tank. Every tank has four gears with their specific speeds.

It can take one or more A.P. rounds to get the tracks red, but when this happens, the tank will be limited to the first gear.

ENGINE

The engine component also represents a critical part of a tank.

When the engine takes damage and turns red, the tank will be immobilized. You will not be able to move the tank in any direction, and you with the crew must fix it from red to white to get the tank started.

Take note that this is one of the most dangerous situations to be in.

CONCLUSION

The tanks in Hell Let Loose will require more than shooting and moving to master. With every component acting as individual health and critical shot, you and your crew must understand and focus on every aspect in combat. Remember the turret, tracks, and engine components' weakness when facing your enemy armor on the battlefield, but keep a close eye on your problems when your tank is hit.

Purpose

PURPOSE

In Hell Let Loose, the armor plays an important role on the battlefield.

Just like the infantry machine gunner is different from a rifleman, the tanks are different one another.

Infantry and tanks working together are key for winning every match.

Defending or attacking a point on the map, the armor represents a powerful stone that the enemy team must move from their way. Like the medieval trebuchet, well used, tanks can be a monstrous fire support for infantry.

RECON CAR

Recon cars are used to scout and flank enemy spawn points.

Low armored machines, in general, will die in one hit from most of the tank classes, AT, AT guns, and mines.

Every two minutes, the recon car have a special ability: it scans within a slightly smaller radius of one square. Within this radius the enemy positions at the time the picture is taken are transmitted to the map

Most players use them for their incredible speed and maneuver to flank ennemies spawns points. Driving behind enemy lines and taking out critical garrisons and outposts that can place your team at an advantage.

Moreover the car offers transport of two team infantry players. You can drive them all over the map for a specific task.

Depending on your game style, armored cars can be used in many ways to help the team, but remember that you have low armor when you face any adversary.

LIGHT TANK

Light tanks act like armored cars but with  better armor.

They give more protection against enemy tanks and anti-tank players.

Most of the time, this armor is used to rush a point, protect the defense players/artillery guns, or scout behind enemy lines taking down spawn points.

MEDIUM TANK

As the backbone of the armor units, the medium tanks fight and die attacking or defending.

Depending on the faction, every medium tank is armed with a powerful cannon that can destroy its respective class, but also light and heavy armor that you will face on the battlefield.

Mediums are good against infantry and tanks, and it will represent your fighting armor force on the maps.

HEAVY TANK

char hvy light med_edited.jpg

The sight of a Tiger I, Jumbo 76, or IS-1 will make any other enemy tank think twice about attacking your position.

They are heavily armored and have a powerful cannon that will make any medium tank explode on the battlefield. All of these tanks have one weakness in common, and that is that they are slow.

Heavy tanks crossing into enemy lines without infantry support will suffer the same outcome, death fast and swift.

These beasts of a tank must be used for defending a critical point or attacking close to infantry. They perform the role they are intended to do, which is to endure punishment and deliver death on the battlefield.

Your main problem will be anti-tank players that will sneak around and destroy you. Keep one eye in front and one behind to stay alive.

Crew

CONCLUSION

The tanks in Hell Let Loose are a good and fresh experience for any player that is looking for team communication and gameplay. There are still some issues that need to be addressed, but in time the future of armored warfare in the game looks promising. Remember to stay clear of mines, sneaky anti-tank players, and fight close to your infantry.

CREW

For a tank to perform better on the battlefield, the crew must have synchronized. Every tank has three key positions, driver, gunner, and spotter.

In all three locations, every player works with what the game offers, such as driving, shooting, and viewing.

Communication is crucial in a tank, and it will not survive more in combat if the three players do not respect what they need to do.

It is important to learn these roles in the tank, even if you only enjoy playing one specific role. This way, the tank will be more synchronized since you have the knowledge of what your other two crew players can handle.

You can be in a heavy tank and die if your crew is inexperienced or in a light tank and survive if you have synchronization build over the course of gameplay hours.

In time everything will be clear, and just like in a real battle, you will pick and form your own crew that you will trust with your game life.

2 MEN CREW

This was the most used tank composition meta that the game was offering. You have a friend that you trust and play non-stop tanks until you master the armored warfare that the game will offer.

The only disadvantage that you will face is changing the position in the tank. Most players use driver/spotter and spotter/gunner when they use these tank meta in the game.

The driver will move and spots when the tanks stopes and the spotter stopes the tank and shoots the cannon when they will engage the enemy team.

The driver seat will remain unusable in this meta of standing and shooting.

It’s a small gamble the tank crews will use to get around some aspects of the game. Even attacking, they can go driver and gunner with no eyes in the spotter position.

This will cause some problems since you will not detect incoming enemy tanks and anti-tank threats that you will face when attacking.

Very efficient, but not the way to go since the tanks changing seat take a while.

3 MEN CREW

As a Warmachine that will eradicate everything in its way, the three-man crew is the best experience that armored warfare has to offer in the game.

Every position in the tank is occupied, and with an excellent experienced tank crew, there will be nothing to stop you from winning the match.

This tank meta of three players is very powerful since you can do everything and not worry about a missing player.

On defense, it can be a stone that the enemy team can’t defeat, and attacking; they will face only nightmares when they see you firing.

This meta must be present for the heavy tanks since they are slow, and every key position must be used to its limits. Medium tanks with three players can also be very deadly in attacking the points. The spotter can give valuable information regarding what is present in the strong point.

Overall this meta is more superior to the two-man, but like everything else, the tanks are only as good as their players.
